Rebecca "Reby" Perez Ibay, 79 years old, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 in San Francisco, California.

Rebecca was born in Manila, Philippines on March 9, 1932. She was the eldest of the 7 children to Juan Perez and Teresita Castro. Rebecca was married to the love of her life, who she says "my boyfriend" Rodolfo Isip Ibay for 59 years, before he passed away in 2009.

Rebecca worked at the Manila International Airport in Manila, Philippines. She migrated to Honolulu, Hawaii in January 1970 to establish a better life for her family. Rebecca was then followed by her children and loving husband within that year. Shortly after, Rebecca and Rody made their permanent home in San Francisco, California. Rebecca worked and retired with the City and County of San Francisco, Muni Information Department. 

Rebecca was the rock of the family and will truly be missed. Her warm, inviting energy was one of her best traits why she was loved by most. Rebecca enjoys singing, laughing, travelling the world, cooking, meeting new people, hosting parties at her residence with relatives and closed friends, attends Legion of Mary at St. Emydius Church, spending time with loved ones. She will be remembered as a great friend, caring and nurturing mother, and the most loving grandmother.

Rebecca is survived by her 6 children and their spouses: Rey and Pat, Roy and Vhie, Rose & Alex, Regie and Ben, Randy and Amanda, and Ruth and Philip; beloved grandchildren: Karen, Andre, Kristle, Marianne, Rebecca, Iaen, Angelo, Angeline, Cole, Shaye, Rainier, Raquel and Frederick; Great-grandchildren: Kayla, Xavier, Milan, Brooklyn, and Isabella. Grandsons-in-law, Vince, Derrick & Dexter. Rebecca is survived by her sisters Rigolette Baraquio of Hawaii and Emy Freer of Oregon.
